If you are just learning or someone who rides seasonally this package will enhance your limited time on the mountain. The properties of this snowboard shape are designed to make snowboarding more effective and smooth. Please note, our recommended size chart is shown above. Correct Method To Unlatch Your “STAUBER Dyna” Binding Buckles
Correct: Left Hand, Left Foot/ Right Hand, Right Foot
Using this method to unbuckle your bindings will put your hand in the “correct” orientation to release the lever smoothly.
- When it’s time to unbuckle your left bindings, reach down with your left hand.
- When it’s time to unbuckle your right binding, reach down with your right hand
Correct: Use Thumb to Engage Release Lever
In this position, engage the release lever using your Thumb.
- Put your four fingers on the strap and your thumb on the release lever
- Push down on the release lever and use your four fingers to pull the strap back as the release lever is engaged with your thumb.
Correct: Press Release Lever Back Using Your Thumbs
This is a close up illustration of the thumb engaging the green highlighted release lever.
- The lever was designed to be used with your thumb to properly unbuckle your bindings.
- This is to prevent the straps from loosening during your runs down the mountain.
Wrong Method To Unlatch Your “STAUBER Dyna” Binding Buckles
Wrong: Left Hand, Right Foot/ Right Hand, Left Foot
Using this method to unbuckle your bindings will put your hand in the “wrong” orientation to release the lever smoothly.
- Avoid reaching down to your binding buckle using the opposite hand as foot.
- Using the opposite hand will encourage you to use your index finger edge to release the buckle.
- Using your Index Finger edge will most likely slip or cause the release lever to stick to the snow build up.
Wrong: Using The Outer Edge of your Index Finger
In this position, you can see the index finger is trying to engage the release lever while the remaining four fingers are not supporting the strap.
- When using the edge of your index finger to release the lever you are likely to slip off the lever or press the lever “in” as opposed to “down.”
- Without the support of your other four fingers to lift the strap, the strap will require more effort to be released.
Wrong: Press Release Lever Back Using your Index Finger
This is a close up illustration showing the edge of the index finger engaging the red highlighted release lever.
- Our binding buckles were not designed to be used this way.
- The edge of your index finger is likely to slip off considering the snow build up and lack of surface contact.
- To properly release your binding buckles please see the correct method in the above illustration.
